MusicNT has launched a new education program to help create safer live music venues in the state.
The All Good Project was officially launched in Tennant Creek last week and will see venues across the town, Alice Springs, Darwin, Katherine and Palmerston take part in the program.
The program will see venues "receive training aimed at educating and empowering staff to better understand and respond to harassment, discrimination, accessibility issues and violence in live music settings".
In addition to venue staff training, the program will also include a public campaign to "encourage active by-standing and increase awareness of acceptable behaviour standards".
"The NT has one of the most unique live music scenes I've experienced, and we want it to be accessible and open for anyone to enjoy," said MusicNT Executive Director Mark Smith of the program.
Venues can register their interest in participating in the program via the MusicNT website here.
