Australian songwriter Xavier Rudd has signed new management and record deals ahead of the forthcoming release of some new music.

The Victorian-born artist has joined Right Hand Management which currently boasts a roster that features huge acts like Vera Blue, Polish Club and Hauskey.

"We are thrilled to have Xavier on our roster," Right Hand Management Director Michael Parisi said.

"I’ve always watched his career from afar and have admired the way in which he has worked so hard in creating a real international footprint for himself. There aren’t many Australian artists who can tour consistently and sell out in over 20 international markets every time they go on the road.

"Equally exciting is the new music Xavier is about to release and I know that it’s going to make a huge impact both here in Australia and around the world."

Alongside the management contract, Rudd has also inked a global deal with the newly-announced Virgin Music Australia, while Stephen Wade's Select Music will handle all of Rudd's live performances.

“We’re so excited to partner with Xavier for his forthcoming music," Virgin Music Australia Artist and Label Services Managing Director Tin Janes said.

"A uniquely global artist we feel the new Virgin global footprint is the perfect home to an independent act such as Xavier who has always released on his own Salt X Label and has a truly international fanbase.

"Teams from Canada to the Netherlands to Australia, we’re all set to go. Xavier has a long and successful history with Universal Australia and we’re pleased to be carrying on that partnership with Virgin.”

Rudd said of the signings, "It has been a time to stop and reset in the world and we have all been tested. For me to have this time to form new alliances with people who are passionate and ready to help me spread a new vibration around the world through my music has been a blessing.

"I feel excited and supported moving forward with Right Hand Management, Select and Virgin Music.”
