A number of legendary Australian acts have had some laneways throughout Adelaide named after them as part of a new City of Adelaide initiative.
Cold Chisel, Paul Kelly, The Angels, No Fixed Address and Sia have all been honoured so "locals and visitors alike can learn more about these iconic musicians and their relationship with key sites across the city" and "discover and support Adelaide’s many excellent live music venues".
"Adelaide is definitely in our DNA as a band," Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes told ABC.
"It's reflected in all our songs we write and certainly we cut our teeth and learnt how to play hard rock and roll [here].
"We refuse to let people sit down and watch our band, and we learnt that from Adelaide audiences."
