The COVID pandemic has forced Melbourne-based rockers Northeast Party House to postpone their Shelf Life tour yet again.

The six-piece outfit are determined to celebrate their new album with fans, confirming new dates for 2021 alongside a special virtual warehouse party later this month.

The group’s third LP dropped at the end of February to rave reviews, but its supporting tour, which was originally slated for August, got pushed to November and now the run of dates will take place next April and May.

Meanwhile, the virtual warehouse party, recorded in the same place Shelf Life was written, will take place on September 25 at 9pm AEST, with Northeast Party House playing new tracks and old favourites before a DJ set.

“This year has been bullshit but the d-floor beers at the end of the tunnel will taste all the sweeter when we get there,” the band said.

“We can’t thank those who have been buying tickets, merch and streaming our music over this period enough. You’re all absolute legends and it means a lot to us.”

Northeast Party House’s Sydney shows have also been moved from The Metro Theatre to The Factory Theatre.
