If your weekend plans have been wiped out due to COVID-19, the Australian music scene has you covered, with some of the country’s best emerging and established acts joining forces for an Instagram-based live music festival.
Labelled a “socially (media) distanced music festival”, ISOL-AID will take place this Saturday and Sunday and will feature Angie McMahon, Julia Jacklin, Stella Donnelly, Alice Skye, Didirri, Hayley Mary, Spacey Jane, Yours Truly and many more.
ISOL-AID will run from 12pm noon til 12am midnight on both Saturday and Sunday, with each artist playing a 20-minute set streamed via their Instagram.
The announcement of ISOL-AID arrives after a number of tour and festival cancellations amid the COVID-19 outbreak, with many in the music industry having their livelihood pulled out from under them.
Viewers who want to support artists and the music industry during the event are encouraged to purchase music and merch and donate to Support Act.
