The NSW Caravan and Camping Industry Association is bringing the first ever Illawarra Caravan Camping Lifestyle Expo to Kembla Grange Racecourse from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 February 2020. And the industry is continually responding with major new innovations that continue to enhance the holiday experience".
This includes new technology being incorporated into the design and build quality of all types of RVs; the massive investment made by holiday parks in upgrading accommodation and incorporating new experiences such as glamping, plus the innovations in camping equipment which make it easier and quicker to pack and unpack a campsite.
RV ownership is also on the rise in the Illawarra with 7800 RVs registered in the Illawarra region. One in every 15 homes in the Illawarra own a recreational vehicle. Comparing this to the rest of the state; where one in every 18 households owns an RV; meaning households in the Illawarra are 20% more likely to own an RV than the broader NSW population.
