Melbourne artist Evan Klar has today announced he's inked an international deal.

Klar is now announced as the first official signee to Monchique, the new German label which is a division of Grönland Records.

The label was founded by Lenz Hein, Herbert Grunermeyer and Tobias Kuhn, who is known for his work with acts including Milky Chance, The Living End and Dean Lewis.

Klar is set to release his new track - I Do - this week, which saw him collaborate with Kuhn.

"When we first heard I Do we were hooked right away," said Hein. "The style of the song is unique, laid back, yet very energetic at the same time.

"Evan is an inspiring artist with a clear artistic vision that we’re looking forward to realising with him. We're happy and proud to welcome Evan as the first signing of our label Monchique."

It's set to be an exciting year for Klar, who also shared that he's collaborating with Kate Miller-Heidke on a new release. See the post below.
