Noiseworks guitarist Stuart Fraser has passed away following a battle with lung cancer. 

As reported by Seven News, Fraser was diagnosed in 2016 and passed away this past weekend. 

In addition to being a founding member of Noiseworks, Fraser's extensive career including stints with John Farnham, Kylie Minogue, Tina Arena, Tom Jones, Ray Charles and more. 

He also performed as part of the band at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and was a member of the Jesus Christ Superstar musical band in the early-'90s.

In 2017, Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and more performed at the Playing It Forward benefit show in Fraser's honour.

Tributes have begun flowing in for Fraser, with country musician Troy Cassar-Daley calling him "one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet or play music with".
