'90s group Def FX have today announced they're returning for a huge tour this June.

The group, which is now made up of frontwoman Fiona Horne and keyboard player/vocalist Ant Bannister, were known for their unique sound that blended heavy guitars and industrial dance elements which ultimately scored them an ARIA nomination and a place in the 1995 triple j Hottest 100 with Psychoactive Summer.

Prior to disbanding in 1997, the group had shared stages with the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins and No Doubt, and had played at every Big Day Out from 1991 to 1996.

"We're just dying to get on the road to rock out and dance hard with all our friends, onstage and off!" says Horne.

"The Def Family are the most loyal and awesome fans any band could dream of having – it’s a privilege and fucking fun to get back up on stage for them."

Def FX are bringing along a heap of special guests for their tour, with Nunchukka Superfly (featuring The Hard-ons Peter "Blackie" Black and Ray Ahn) and Bitchcraft joining them in Newcastle, Nunchukka Superfly in Sydney, Matt Doll from The Mavis's in Belgrave, and Nunchukka Superfly and Snvff in Brisbane.
