Jessica Irwin, an emerging Australian musician with cerebral palsy, will showcase groundbreaking tech at Australian Music Week, performing live with her idol, multi-platinum, award-winning musician, Steve Balbi (Mi-Sex, Noiseworks), thanks to the world's first eye-controlled music software, Atmosphere from Lake_Charlegrark_Country_Music_Marathon_2019_Lineup_Announced.

Jessica and Steve will also join Pyskinetic's technology team, who they helped to develop this game-changing software, to discuss the future applications of eye-controlled tech in music, which enables pre-recorded and programmed notes, chords and sound sequences to be triggered and controlled by eye-movement and blinks.

The conference agenda covers a full range of music-related topics to sink your teeth into from touring, management and marketing to mental health, diversity, the business of music, streaming, radio and more. It also includes dedicated sessions on heavy, folk and Americana music.

Of the program announcements, conference director, Jonathan Howell said, "Australian Music Week is all about arming artists and industry professionals with relevant, relatable information they can take away use to make a difference in their career and the industry, today."

"We have more gold to reveal soon, but these panels and masterclasses give great insight into the breadth and depth of conference topics. We are really excited to be working with leading Australian musicians and industry professionals to deliver meaty, must-know material at this year’s conference."

Ushering in the second line-up announcement are UK rock/electronica act The Ramona Flowers, who are set to support rock supergroup Stereophonics on tour, ARIA nominated singer/songwriter Danny Widdicombe & Trichotomy, Sydney indie-pop artist, Oly Sherman and punk-rockers, SCABZ, Australian electro-pop streaming sensation and Teen Vogue USA 'Breakout Artist' Lucy Neville, Rolling Stone certified singer-songwriter Mark Lang (Skipping Girl Vinegar) and Australia Council’s Dreaming Award-winner, Nooky.

Australian Music Week brings a little left of centre with inventive Gold Coast harpist ELSKA looping up pop dreams, joining Melbourne MC Soliloquy, conscientious singer-songwriter David Spry, Tasman Keith, Sydney’s son of Aboriginal hip-hop pioneer MC Wise and local indie acts, Hollie Col and Pirra, all showcasing.

With powerful international partnerships in place, the Canadian contingent is strong with a dedicated showcase, "Canadian Blast", presented by CIMA, The East Coast Music Awards and BreakOut West featuring Adyn Townes, Declan O'Donovan, Luca Fogale, Mo Kenney, Random Recipe and Hawksley Workman.

An inclusive event that opens its arms to all genres and celebrates artists doing things differently, today's announcement testifies to the diversity and abundance of talent on show at Australian Music Week this year.

"I can’t tell you how excited we are for this year’s showcases, so much new talent, a lot of artists that will turn heads. The Australian Music Future shines very bright" said Australian Music Week program director, Geoff Trio.
