Since becoming an official political party in June to contest at the 2019 NSW state election, Keep Sydney Open has just announced they will be holding an open meeting for supporters and members later this month.

Happening on 23 August in Redfern, SBS Viceland’s Jan Fran will host a panel discussion on the night which will also feature the Sydney Deputy Lord Mayor Jess Miller, Keep Sydney Open’s Tyson Koh and Anna Burns who is the former General Manager of Future Classic and Modular and has held roles at FBi Radio and TEDxSydney.

Speaking about the formation of the party earlier in the year, Koh believes "by putting lockout laws on the ballot of next year’s election, people now have a real choice and a course of action to rescind these laws, wind back the ‘nanny state’ and build a 24-hour city".
