Having just surpassed a record previously held by John Farnham's iconic Whispering Jack, Ed Sheeran has topped the ARIA Albums chart yet again.

Not even The Weeknd's surprise new EP, My Dear Melancholy, could beat the UK superstar's long-reigning ÷ (Divide) and has instead debuted at #3.

Rounding out the top five this week is The Greatest Showman soundtrack at #2, Sheeran's 2014-released LP X at #4 and Bruno Mars' 24K Magic at #5.

Other albums debuting on the chart this week includes Hayley Kiyoko’s Expectations (#20), Kacey Musgraves' Golden Hour (#25), Escape The Fate’s I Am Human (#39) and Steffany Gretzinger’s Blackout (#98).

Over on the Singles chart, The Weeknd has charted at #3 again with new track, Call Out My Name, just ahead of Lil Dicky's Freaky Friday which has jumped up to #4.

Drake has managed to again beat out the competition to top the chart for the tenth straight week with God's Plan.
