Melbourne music lovers gather round, its time to help a local live music institution and have a rad night at the same time with The Brunswick Hotel Presents: Flood Aid.

ICYMI, an over-confident driver ran into a fire hydrant in front of the Brunswick Hotel, soaking the floors, destroying everything inside and forcing the venue to close its doors indefinitely.

The owners aren’t giving up that easy though, organising a massive fundraiser this Saturday (7 April) at the nearby Rubix Warehouse, featuring the likes of Flyying Colours, China Beach, Two Headed Dog and a stack more.

Remodelling is already underway with the help of insurance but the unexpected closure has put pressure on the bar staff, sound engineers, bussies and security guards that work tirelessly for the venue.

As such, funds raised from the event will go to the recently unemployed staff of the Brunswick Hotel.

Tickets are on sale now; for more information, head to theGuide.
