US actor Nicholas Brendon has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend just weeks before he is scheduled to appear at Australia's Supanova events.
According to TMZ, the 46-year-old, best known for his role as Xander Harris in the iconic Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series, has been charged for felony domestic violence after he allegedly pulled his girlfriend's arm and hair during a drunken dispute at a Palm Springs hotel.
Brendon has been arrested a number of times in recent years, including in 2015, when he trashed a hotel room in Florida while in town for a pop culture convention.
In the same year, he appeared on Dr Phil twice to discuss his struggles with depression and alcohol addiction.
USA Today have since reported that Brendon will appear at a hearing in California on 28 November, while he is currently scheduled to appear in Brisbane from 10-12 November and Adelaide from 18-19 November.
