The Support Act charity has today announced it will honour revered musician, Jenny Morris OAM, at its annual fundraising event, Music In The House.
The Crocodiles' singer will be presented with Support Act's Excellence In The Community award in recognition of her services to the music industry and wider Australian community.
Taking place at the Ivy Ballroom on Sydney on Wednesday, 17 May, names like Jimmy Barnes, Neil Finn, Montaigne and Diesel will perform tributes to Morris for the occasion.
"We knew Music in the House had to be extra special this year as it marks Support Act's 20th anniversary," Support Act CEO Joanna Cave said.
"There is no more fitting recipient of our Excellence in the Community award than Jenny Morris. She is an extraordinary musician and an exemplary humanitarian."
Morris will join an illustrious list of recipients who have already received the award, including Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, John Butler, The Sapphires and many more.
After working with the likes of Prince, INXS and Paul McCartney throughout her career, Morris joined the board of APRA AMCOS as a songwriter representative in 2004 and in 2013, became the first female Chair of the organisation.
