At this point, Netflix certainly has the sway to gather as many huge stars as they damn well please for their shows and specials (see: last year's A Very Murray Christmas).

Now, they've called in the likes of The Lonely Island, Eric Andre, Sarah Silverman and more for a Valentine's Day comedy-musical special centred around Grammy-winning musician Michael Bolton, reportedly titled Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special. Strange, we know.

As Spin reports, the special will be directed by Comedy Bang! Bang!'s Scott Aukerman and The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer, with Portlandia star Fred Armisen, SNL and Bridesmaids actor Maya Rudolph, Casey Wilson, Michael Sheen and Chris Parnell also on board.

As you'd expect of Aukerman and The Lonely Island, the whimsical show will reportedly follow Bolton "as he creates a sexy variety special that serves one very important purpose: to get people in the mood to make love".

"In the midst of the special’s absurdist adventures, Bolton performs an array of love songs made up of both classic hits and all-new original love-making music," a press release reads.

Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentine’s Day Special is due for release on Netflix on 7 February.
