Danish progressive rockers Mew have not managed to get themselves Down Under in 20 years, that is, their entire career - but all that's changing.
The quartet are finally making tracks to play to Australian fans this December with three intimate headline shows slated in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Bringing their latest album + - along, Australia's east coast will finally get to taste the juicy fruits of their labour, spanning back to a 2009 petition that grew into the dedicated "Mewstralia" fanbase.
Stefano Perfili of Mewstralia, said, "After some concerted rallying and campaigning over 6 years, it was beginning to feel like we’d never see Mew in Australia. So we’re beyond stoked that we’ll finally be witnessing Mew live in all their immersive glory! Catch you at the shows!"
With The Music proudly presenting Mew's very first Australian tour, Mew will be head to Sydney's Manning Bar on Wednesday, 2 December, Max Watt's in Melbourne on Thursday, 3 December and Max Watt's in Brisbane on Friday, 4 December.
