ROYAL CROWN REVUE return to Australia this January
Often credited with igniting the swing revival, Royal Crown Revue's unique combination of swing, jump, jive and jazz has yielded a dream career in the music industry.
Behind the timeless voice of Eddie Nichols, RCR has worked with a stunning variety of top artists – from James Brown to Bette Midler and Gene Simmons. The band has made countless television appearances on shows such as Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Jay Leno, and its music has been featured in films such as The Mask and Swingers, and on the soundtrack for the Tony Award Winning Broadway Musical ‘Contact’.
But it’s on stage that RCR truly come alive. Not only has the band performed at many of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals, from the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall to the Reading Festival and the 97 and 99 Warped Tour, but RCR has also played thousands of sold-out headlining dates throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia. Since 1998, RCR has enjoyed a particularly special relationship with ‘the land down under’. With ten Australian tours now under its belt, the band has attracted an extremely loyal and raucous fan base that stretches across the spectrum, and is very excited to be returning to tour in early 2011.
For those who can’t wait until next year for their dose of RCR, fear not! You can grab a copy of the bands’ brand new Christmas record “Don’t Be A Grinch This Year”.
