Fast cars and rocking out - look out Gold Coast, here comes Indyfest and it's going to be huge!

For the first time ever, the Lexmark Indy 300 will have its very own music festival, Indyfest, and the lineup is as big as the main event. This all-day all ages music event features live international, national and local bands, as well as DJs performing in a picturesque outdoor arena and is set to become a major highlight of the annual Lexmark Indy 300 Off track celebrations.

Headlining this huge event is International stars GOOD CHARLOTTE. Joining them is popular Australian rock bands KISSCHASY, BUTTERFINGERS SMALL MERCIES, SHORTSTACK & NINA MAY.  Well known DJ’s TV ROCK feat SEANY B will be hitting the decks followed by up and coming DJ’s The POTBELLEEZ and local boys STAFFORD BROTHERS.

More bands and DJ’s are still to be announced for the Indyfest, which is set to rock Lexmark Indy 300 and music lovers alike.

International stars Good Charlotte are headlining main stage, showcasing their newly released fourth album, ‘Good Morning Revival’ which launches with an artful, innovative sound collage that slides into the irresistible “Misery”-- it’s evident that the world-famous band who’ve sold over nine million albums has revolutionized its sound for 2007. Good Morning Revival sustains its momentum with songs like the fuzzy, club-driven “Dancefloor Anthem” and the genre-defying, Gorillaz-like You Tube favorite “Keep Your Hands Off My Girl”. Good Charlotte has proven that it can thrive in a number of musical realms.

KISSCHASY introduces a fresh sound - more confronting, more relentless, more rockin’, more irresistible than ever with ‘Hymns for the Nonbeliever’. This is the follow-up to 2005’s smash hit debut, ‘United Paper People’. The Mornington foursome has reunited to produce the most solid album you will hear in 2007. From start to finish, it doesn’t relent.

It’s official, BUTTERFINGERS give you more bang for your buck than a discount fireworks expo! These Brisbane misfits have been busy shocking and stadium rocking the Australian masses for 5 years - selling beats by the pound and blasting through the boundaries of rock n’ roll the only way they know how. These guys consistently mix up genres and styles in order to create a balanced chaos of hip hop, punk rock, electro and dub all packaged with fun and shameless appeal. Now with their new single ‘Nothin Much Happens’, they will have you making good use of your dancing shoes.

Brisbane four piece rock outfit, SMALL MERCIES have been nominated for their debut single Innocent in the Breakthrough Artist single category.
SMALL MERCIES are a classic rock band for the modern era. Their songs bristle with a mood of instant familiarity. Break the band into sonic parts and youll hear chiming choruses, shimmering guitars and an explosive bottom end; all of which are fronted by a young voice fit to fill arenas, stadiums and the airwaves.

Hailing from Sydney, SHORT STACK are fast emerging as one of the hottest young bands in Australia since launching their emo style act online earlier this year and have recently signed an International deal with Sunday Morning Records. With more energy than a box of frogs, their music is a blend of many genres, including punk, glam and indie. Their lyrics are honest, witty and tongue in cheek all stitched together with teenage confessions.

NINA MAY have taken the Brisbane music scene by the balls and boy is Brisbane really starting to feel it!  With hard, melodic rock and kick-ass girly vocals, the band has certainly got a firm grip on things!  They released their debut EP, ‘Make Love to Your Stereo’ in June 2006.  It was mixed by Dave Leonard (The Butterfly Effect, Small Mercies), and has received great acclaim from street press and Aussie rockers down the east coast of Australia.  With all this under their belt in just a year, who knows how far NINA MAY go?

TV ROCK kicked off their career by breaking all records with their debut single 'Flaunt It' feat SEANY B. The record sold close to double Platinum singles, screaming to the #1 spot for five weeks and spent the longest time in the top 10 ARIA charts EVER! To cap off this stellar start, TV ROCK recently won two ARIA awards at the 2006 event for best dance release and highest selling single. With a wealth of experience rocking the dancefloors across the globe, TV ROCK is a collaboration between two of Australia's highest profile DJ/Producers Grant Smillie and Ivan Gough. It is safe to say that TV ROCK is the hottest production outfit in Australia right now.

THE POTBELLEEZ are Dave Goode and Jonny Sonic, two Producer DJ’s from Dublin, Ireland, who are now living, recording and performing in Sydney. THE POTBELLEEZ are a multi talented dance act with a signature live performance, a unique four deck, two mixer HOUSE set that has established them as rising stars in the Sydney Scene. Dishing up breathtaking DJ sets and producing the duuuurtiest damn house music your ears have ever heard, THE POTBELLEEZ have a sixth sense for what makes the dancefloor swoon.

Local Gold Coast boys THE STAFFORD BROTHERS, Matt and Chris have been devastating local dancefloors all throughout Queensland and more recently interstate for nearly 6 years. The Staffords have been steadily rising to the top of Australia’s elite DJ forces since 1999. Building a fan base that is usually reserved for more distinguished artists and act’s they have created a huge rapport with club goers through their energised funky house sets that are all about fun, fun, fun!

This inaugural event is set to become an iconic element to the Lexmark Indy 300 celebrations and is expected to draw over 10,000 music fans.

Indyfest is being held on Saturday 20th October from 2pm to 10:30pm at the Southport Broadwater Park opposite Australia Fair.
