OzTix is independently owned, based in Brisbane and is run by the people who own it. We started in 2004 providing automated online ticketing services for venues and have since developed into an independent full service ticket company.
The OzTix system provides you the ability to sell your tickets online, by telephone and through our retail network. It is a fully featured engine with an online interface that joins you to our national network. The system has been custom built from the ground-up with 20 years experience in the promoting and management of independent music.
We provide our services exclusively or non-exclusively and we often work along side the other outlets or companies. We are not an advertising company, we don't do banner ads on any of our clients sites. We encourage our clients to build their own brands by directing sales to their own web sites, and not just our web site. We are also happy to let our clients build and keep their own database of customers.
We have built our business on excellent client and customer service and we have managed our rapid growth to ensure that we fully maintain our client's needs. In addition to online, telephone and retail sales outlets we also provide our clients with full ticket printing services.
The OzTix vision is to build a true independent network of venues and record stores, servicing the independent promoters and agents. We believe that the live independent music business is best served by a small independent ticket company that is owned and run people who live and love music . By choosing the OzTix system our clients become part of this national independent network.
OzTix now has outlets in many of the best independent music stores in the country. The stores are now set up and live to our system via our web based e-commerce interface. Tickets allocated to the OzTix system become available thru this network or retail stores (usually state based). This means that each store can draw tickets from the same one allocation of inventory, in real time as they are sold. Therefore the store that has most demand can access the tickets as needed. This "free sale" model - whereby 1000 tickets may be available and all outlets (online, phone and retail) are drawing from the same pool- allows for better ticket distribution, resulting in more sales.
We currently have retail outlets in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Melbourne and Adelaide. Perth and Sydney are close to being launched.
